Creativity during Global lockdown
Turning a global lockdown into a fast-moving product, branding, and online sales project during Covid-19

Overview
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, regular client work almost completely stopped. Instead of waiting for things to return to normal, I built a fully branded illustrated face mask project from scratch, including product design, sewing, production management, photography, catalogs, videos, social campaigns, and online sales.
What started as a survival idea quickly turned into a fast-moving business that reached thousands of people online, appeared on national television, and helped support my family during one of the most uncertain periods of the pandemic.

The challenge
Creating a completely new product during a full lockdown, with no experience. Learning sewing and production from scratch within days.
Building a recognizable brand in an already saturated market
Producing content, photography, and videos from a small apartment, while managing online sales across multiple platforms simultaneously
Launching and promoting everything with minimal resources and uncertainty everywhere
Building a brand people connected with
Turning protective products into something playful, personal, and emotionally shareable
Beyond the masks themselves, the project quickly evolved into a complete visual brand. I designed product catalogs, social media campaigns, marketplace listings, packaging concepts, promotional videos, and lifestyle photography, all while adapting the tone to a stressful global moment.
Instead of focusing only on fear or protection, the branding leaned into humor, personality, and human connection, helping the products stand out organically across social media and online marketplaces.
Designing, sewing, testing, and producing masks from home during lockdown. I had a goal - to make this successful.
Creating playful campaigns and authentic content from home during lockdown. Not a bad time to be creative.
Taking it offline
What started at home quickly turned into real-world sales, mall booths, customer interactions, and a growing physical presence.
Built and managed physical mall booths during Covid-19 restrictions
Created printed catalogs, pricing boards, and promotional materials
Sold directly to customers while continuously producing new designs
Expanded the collection into matching shirts and supporting merchandise
Combined product design, branding, sales, production, and customer service simultaneously
From lockdown idea to real-world brand
What started as a response to uncertainty quickly became a fully operating micro-brand.
The project combined product design, sewing, content creation, social media, mall booths, packaging, and direct sales.
The goal was not just to sell masks, but to create something people genuinely wanted to wear.
By combining humor, functionality, and visual identity, the project created real emotional connection during a difficult time.
Product ecosystem
From sketches and sewing to packaging, pricing, and booth presentation.
Organic social growth
Content, reactions, shares, and customer photos created real engagement.
Retail experience
Physical booths across malls turned the project into a real customer-facing brand.
Emotional connection
People didn’t just buy protection. They bought personality, humor, and identity.
When people started sharing it
What began as a small lockdown project slowly started spreading beyond the booths.
Customers shared photos online, influencers posted stories, comedians wore the masks, and people began recognizing the brand in public spaces and on social media.
The attention was never driven by big budgets or paid campaigns.
It grew because people genuinely connected with the product, the humor, and the timing.

What This Project Actually Became
What started as a response to lockdown quickly became something much bigger.
A fully independent micro-brand built from scratch during uncertainty, using creativity, fast execution, social media, production, photography, packaging, kiosks, PR, and direct customer interaction.
Every part of the project was created and managed personally, from sewing and product testing to marketing, sales, visuals, and customer experience.
I also proved something even more important to myself:
I get things done. Even under pressure. Even during uncertainty.
I can take an idea, build it from scratch, adapt fast, and make it work in the real world.
If I managed to do that during one of the most chaotic periods in recent history, imagine what I can do for your business today.
